This channel is dedicated to teaching emergency medicine procedures and displaying unique and interesting medical conditions. This channel is only possible because our patients collaborate with us and give permission for their stories to be told so that others might learn. We value this trust and will never take it for granted. And, without the willing support of my University of South Alabama colleagues these videos would never be possible. This channel is monetized and 100% of any money earned from these RUclips videos is donated to a charitable, non-profit foundation, the Mellick Foundation, Inc. All money earned is donated to help the less fortunate and to support medical education. Before posting all videos are reviewed by compliance officers, a peer group of emergency physicians, a legal team, and the Office of Communications & Marketing. Our goal is to deliver the highest quality training videos possible. We would be honored if you would subscribe to this channel.

This video was recently re-created for use in an emergency medicine textbook. The patient was a blunt trauma patient who recently lost his vital signs. If recalled correctly, the team had little time to prepare for the patient's arrival and the trauma team was not present. The lack of PPE is concerning and demonstrates the importance of being able to prepare for the arrival of the patient.

I can't wait to see the video titles in the future if the Lord tarries: "A Football Player's *False Eyelash* Emergency" - "A Construction Worker's *High Heel* Emergency" 🤔
A query: After removing roach/ bug/ fly etc. from ear, do the doctors check whether any eggs have been laid or larva have hatched, to avoid further complications?
Dislocations are really bad. I have a bad experience with dislocations. I remember twisting my Achilles tendon in 2010 and couldn't normally walk for like 3 days until I was treated. Very bad experience 💯
Couldn’t they use a pace maker to help it??
Celine dion brought me here

Give that sweet lady propofol.
Tuesday 25th June 2024. This guy will be so healed up now. He was so very brave. Adults take note. 😂😊😊❤❤
Which drug given for sedation.
You can tell the kid felt instant releif by looking at his face. As soon as it popped back in place, he stopped tensing up, and his eyebrows relaxed
. Did a couple of years in ED many moons ago. I remember a clinical elective in the Bahamas where with sea urchin spines I was taught to soak the foot in hot water to deactivate the toxins and make them easier to remove. Is this true??
Yes, that is part of the recommendations if there is significant pain from toxins.
No pre oxygenation before giving 100mg propofol - allowing her Sa02 to drop to 84% ?

Do you really need a hospital for that come on their splinters I had multiple before by accident of course but one of them was METAL in my finger pain in the ass a like a needle a hay stack like bruh had to push and squeeze while bleeding and using tweezers by myself you don't need doctors for splinters
Well if you seen their was a big as splinter in his foot and stuck inside this fingers
@Layla_makes_bracletz Yeah, I see, and I've been there it happens
Yes because the splinter is so big and so far that you don’t know if it hit a vessel and you can bleed out.
What is that magnifying attachment and where can you get one like that?

Awesome
What is the solution if someone lost one testicle?
A single testicle compensates and functions as well as two testicles. In the end a single testicle is more of a cosmetic issue for some. A prosthetic testicle is potentially available.

I had the screw thing happen to me on a job, but it went through my thumb and thumbnail. Hurt more when my co worker used a drill to back it out
Best doctor examine
I had a pilonidal cyst when I was 18, and the pain was so intense, I blacked out.
i went to the ER last night because of pain in my right testicle, they ran some tests and examined my testicle. they told me i had a little torsion in the upper part of my spermatic cord and i'm having a hard time understanding how it could be the top that has torsion but not the bottom.
There is another type of torsion that involves a vestigial appendage that sometimes twists. That is not a big deal.
Fucking disgusting work ethic... Unnecessary just to charge the insurance...
